Today, I was talking to a guy I met online and have known for 4 years. I've fallen in love with him twice, one of those times being currently. He was supposed to visit this summer. I got an email from him saying he's really a 17 year old girl from Chesterfield, MO. FML

Today, I met a guy online. We talked all night long and hit it off amazingly. He told me he'd never felt that way about anyone else, and I agreed. He sent me a picture and he was gorgeous. I sent him one after he assured me he didn't care what I looked like. I haven't heard from him since. FML

Today, I went out to meet a wonderful woman I'd chatted with online. I did have a few fears about if she was really just some guy trying to make a fool out of me. When I met her, she really was a girl, and was happy to see me. Problem: she was actually 13. I'm 34. FML

I really don't understand how people do this. My friend was 'in love' with someone she'd only spoken to on the internet aswell, and she said they were going to get married. Then it turned out it wasn't who he said he was and he'd told her a shit-load of lies. Four years and you never spoke to them on the phone or tried to meet up with them before this? YDI for being so utterly stupid.
