Like everyone else is saying, you definitely made the right call.
I know what you mean. something petty close to that happened to me earlier this year. sorry, but glad they are ok.
Don't feel bad about anything, OP. You're a really good person. I'd love to have a friend like you.
Well did you message him first or anything? I mean personally I wouldn't have waited an hour. But calling for help in a situation like that is never a bad thing hun. No matter what, you did do the right thing. Stay strong.
I actually know how you feel. My ex- best friend did the same to me. There was a fight with her and my other friends and she said "it will be better when I'm gone." She didn't respond for an hour. I freaked out but it's the 4th time she has done that to me. ?
When it comes to that- always assume it's a real threat. I would rather sit all night with one of my girls(I work in a group home) than get a phone call that they died. I have taken multiple trainings for suicide prevention- alway assume it's a threat.
I would be worried she's emotionally manipulating you..
At least now we know you care.
We get calls like this. I'd way rather have a patient say "no I'm ok" and sign off than do a body recovery because no one called. You did the right thing.
hey at least you showed that you care. you can never be too care
You're a great friend, OP, and your friend is lucky to have you. Thank you for caring!

It's better safe than sorry OP.
Good friend. And they have help for people having suicidal thoughts, you probably helped him out quite a bit anyways.
