Today, I was telling my friends a story. I added a few "embellishments" to make it more intense. One my friends piped up with, "I was with you, half of what you just said wasn't true". It's now all over Facebook and I'm known as "The Bullshitter". FML

Today, a coworker told me something I didn't realize was confidential, until later when my boss called me, saying someone may have shared something confidential with me, and me, not thinking so, said I don't think anyone did. We hung up, they called back and elaborated, and it dawned on me now they think I'm a liar. FML

Today, at a party I bumped into a friend of my ex. We caught the same bus home. He started telling me about my ex's "totally insane" ex-girlfriend. He refused to believe me when I told him he was talking about me. I had to sit there for half an hour as my personality was ripped to shreds. FML

remember who was with you, and if they tell other people what you say then they really arent your friends, you might want to get new freinds and either not lie or remember who was with you, that way you can tell the people that weren't with you the story

that's a bit harsh. Ending a friendship because OP spruked up a story that might've been a bit bland is a bit rough. Being friends with someone is getting to know them and their behaviours and should they continually exaggerate things, wouldn't you tell them to simply cut the crap?
