Call me cheap all you want, but I honestly HATE the fact that I have to tip people. Not matter where it is, be it be at a restaurant, or at a spa, or getting my hair cut, I think it's bullshit. I work just as hard for my money as the people that work at these places and in some cases make less money that they do. Why the hell can't the company they work for pay them better instead of expecting me to make up for it?? I do tip, but only because I feel I have to because people bitch and moan about it if I don't. You're already getting paid to do your job. You know full well how much you'll be getting paid going into it, and if that's not enough for you then get a better ******* job.

well if i made $2.89 an hour being a waiter i would of done the same thing just waited a little longer to say something

104 and 107 took the words right out of my mouth. I'm really tired of hearing servers complain about shitty tips. The fact is, it ISN'T mandatory. Like I said in another post, I generally knew if I had done a bad job and wasn't getting a tip. However, there are times where no matter how great of a job you had done...you still got stiffed. Did I bitch about it to my co-workers? Absolutely. But I made sure not to do it in foh, it was either in the back, or after the shift. Which is what the OP should have done. And to the person who made the comment that they make less than the servers waiting on them....maybe you should look into a career change.

hahah, that's what you get! I feel bad for the man with the $30 I hate waiters/delivery guys who complain about tips. When they complain, or worse, ask me for a tip, they don't get anything! Usually, I do tip though. And if you want to earn more, then I guess its time for a new job.

I understand that you'd be pissed because I've been a waiter myself. And #169, you would complain about terrible/ no tips if that's how you made your money.
