Today, I was waitering at the restaurant that I work at when I collected a credit card bill that was worth $120 and a big zero on the tip line. Angered, I turned to a co-worker and said "I knew this asshole wasn't going to tip me." The guy was standing right behind me with $30 in his hand. FML

That was stupid. Plenty of people pay tips with cash instead, myself included.

I hope he threw the money in your face. Ha, no I don't. I hope he gave the money to your co-worker.

tipping isn't mandatory so you shouldn't be mad if you don't get one, you are paid by the our. if i were him, i would tip you 2 cents after that

Dude, YDI. I know waiters only make, like, $2 an hour, but you wait until they leave (or at least until you're safely in the kitchen) to say that shit!

You're an ass. That makes me want to punch you. I always tip in cash, because once someone ****** with my tip line on my card. I had written 5.00 and they added a 2 in front of it and I got shafted out of 20 bucks. Don't be such a prick.

IDIOT. so many people tip with cash! are you a newb or something????

If you are dependent on a minimum wage job to FEED YOUR KIDS (not the OP, some of the commenters), you obviously screwed up somewhere along your life.

Understandably frustrated, but a little quick on the trigger. Learn for next time to keep it down 'til you're in private.

This is why I write "CASH" on the tip line instead of Zero.
