Today, I was waitering at the restaurant that I work at when I collected a credit card bill that was worth $120 and a big zero on the tip line. Angered, I turned to a co-worker and said "I knew this asshole wasn't going to tip me." The guy was standing right behind me with $30 in his hand. FML

That was stupid. Plenty of people pay tips with cash instead, myself included.

I hope he threw the money in your face. Ha, no I don't. I hope he gave the money to your co-worker.

First of all, he doesn't have to tip you. Just because you're doing your job doesn't mean people have to pay you. That's why you get a salary. To do your job. And if you get tipped you gotta watch your attitude. Nobody wants to tip the snotty waiter.

Ya, you try working at 2 dollars an hour and make sure you refuse any tips.

This was a long time ago so idk if the law wasn't set in place yet but in NH and MA the law is that if you don't make enough tips to cover your hourly wage it is then the EMPLOYERS job to pay you the difference

YDI. Nobody HAS to tip you, don't expect a tip every time.

You shouldn't always exspect a tip it's your job to server them tipping is optional thats why people like you that do a little extra and exspect something back get nowhere in life. Fyl

People like you are the reason a lot of us don’t tip at all anymore

I wirte something in the check if I am going to leave or give a cash tip. That's his problem not yours but next time be a little more discreet
