Today, I was walking back to my hotel from the town square, and got lost. I turned back and walked around town for an hour, freaking out and panicking. When I finally found the hotel, I realized it was practically a stone's throw from where I was when I turned around. FML

Because everyone has a cell phone... Though, with traveling, would have to get a cell phone I think, would be crazy not to have one incase. But prepaid phones I don't think have a lot of features outside calling, texting, and maybe some simple things. Simple would not include GPS tracking.

And it never occurred to you to try to ask people where the hotel was? Whenever I get really lost I won't walk more than a block from where I am to avoid getting any more lost, and just ask people how to get where I want to go until I actually find a place I can recognize. Sometimes I even ask on my way to somewhere new just to be sure I'm going the right way before I stray too far.

Sometimes people refuse to answer. It's happened to me more than I can count. Approach anyone, and they instinctively walk away awkwardly, pretending to stare at a faraway object. I'll never understand.

It's ok, we all make dumb mistakes. Just tonight when I was with my 2 friends I was going to call my mom but I accidentally called me friend who was sitting right beside me in the car. I laughed at myself and called myself a dumbass and a retard. Like I said, we all make really dumb mistakes
