AdamwithanA tells us more.
I couldn't tell how many for sure but it was pretty heavy and the smell was unbelievable.

It's okay guys,, she probably has 20 more at home
Sounds like a case for Furlock Holmes and Dr. Catson.
There's nothing funny about this. It's just sad- for the old lady, for the dead cats, and for the living ones she probably still has at home. Even if the police step in, it will still end badly for everyone involved. Any remaining cats will be probably killed- they almost always destroy the cats from animal hoarding situations. The lady will lose them, and likely her freedom. There's no way of knowing what kind of suffering or neglect the dead cats had to undergo. I hope you reported it, so that the cycle of misery can be stopped, but either way it's awful. Those dead cats must have been hungry and in so much pain, and they just wanted someone to take the hurt away, and the person responsible for them was either incapable or unwilling to help them... I am now sad.
There wasn't much I could do. She was there then gone and I have no idea who she was.
49- I understand. I wasn't saying that you had done anything wrong. It's just such a bad thing to happen. Knowing there's that little bit of extra misery somewhere, knowing she's probably sitting at home with other dying cats... It's just so sad. I know you couldn't have really done anything, but it makes me a little distressed when I think about that old lady. I feel bad for you for having been put in that situation.
Great, now your comment made me sad.
You sound like my mother in law.
OP, you can still call the local animal control. Though you didn't recognize the woman, she can't be far away carrying that heavy a bag. Let them find her. (Sorry about the horror.)
Cool story you got fabricating in your mind... Do one about a tortured Frog please.
CALL THE AUTHORITIES and file a complaint. The woman can't live far from the dumpster and she may return soon to dump more bodies. There are cameras on most buildings that could help identify her or where she's coming from. Those cats are innocent, they definitely pleaded for their lives - for food - the best that they could only to die a sickening death. Neglect is abuse. Please have the courage to file a report. While I have no sympathy for the woman I can only imagine what her living conditions must be like.. and that's no way for anyone to live.
#142 your a complete jackass
I hope you called the police on the crazy hag!
she was long gone before I found out.
Shame. I'd still report her. She may visit that same dumpster soon :(
Hmm I dunno..if OP says the stank was bad shouldn't they have abandoned mission....

You saw too much... Did she say anything? What the hell could have resulted in that?! That would haunt me forever... :(
Oh my God that is terrible! What the hell was she doing with a bag of dead cats?
