Let's just all assume that the OP is an overweight, narcissistic person who couldn't possibly have saved money a little at a time to buy a dress she absolutely loved to reward herself for hard work, why don't we? Sheesh. Has no one here ever splurged on something pricey that they probably didn't REALLY need?

Sheesh. Has no one here ever splurged on something pricey that they probably didn't REALLY need?" Well, I got a prepaid account at 24 Hour Fitness....and a CD. Funny, it all paid off.
can afford a $500 dress without havin to starve for it (gestures to stomach) yet gotta take the sub?
btw, alot of the people here sound like bitches; don't listen to them. anyone stop to think that maybe this person could be skinny, but have a little bit of a chubby stomach? even if the OP wasn't skinny, though, who are you to say they don't deserve a 500 dollar dress? you all should be writing fml. 'Today, I posted on a comment on FML. I told a girl she should be ashamed of herself for spending $500 dollars on a dress that she really liked, because she was called pregnant. I then looked at myself in the mirror and realized that I'm a bitter douche. FML'
YDI if u want to spend $500 on yourself, buy a car. And then get another $100 for a better dress. Its quite funny to wear $500 dress in a crowded train. At first you should find a dress that looks good on you and buy a car for at > $5000.
tbh, i would rather spend that kinda money on a less formal dress that i could wear quite often and look good in than a 'one-time occasion' dress that would hang in my wardrobe begging to be worn. I wouldnt worry bout the guy on the train, just laugh it off! Im sure u still looked hot! :) Not really a FML...
I doubt I would drop that much money on a dress; however, you see people dropping 500 dollars on video game systems, not to mention an ongoing habit of 60 bucks per game. Don't forget anywhere from 500-5000 on televisions. Expensive ass smartphones. I could go on and on. No one says boo about it. If you have any of these things then pipe down, because they are just as frivolous. I'm not criticizing owning these things, mind you, I have some myself. But she may get just as much enjoyment out of that dress as you get out of your PS3 or phone. "OMG BUT IT HAS SO MANY APPS I NEEEEEED IT!!" Wearing it on a train wasn't exactly bright though, hon.
Probably every female celebrity alive at the moment has been wrongly suspected of being pregnant at some point because of a photo snapped when they have a bit of a belly, whether it's right after their lunch or they're just feeling a bit bloated. It's easier to mistake someone with a little frame and a little bit of a round belly for being pregnant that it is to mistake someone who is just fat, so he probably wasn't saying you look fat. Almost every woman alive is about 10 times more critical of herself than anyone else is going to be, so if you thought you looked good in it, you probably did. I don't really see why people would say YDI because of how you choose to spend your money... I mean, would they like to see something bad happen to everyone who has brought an expensive dress or what. It's kind of really petty and sad.

YDI for buying a five hundred dollar dress.
Is that where you keep your ego? YDI.
