....what? People get called 'pregnant' a lot when they're really not. I can see how that'd upset you but it's not really "FML". Maybe you should lose some weight? I"m confused by the 'wasted $500' line. How is it the dress's fault you're fat? Or appear fat. Some clothes make you look bigger than you are but not THAT much bigger.
what if it WAS a dress for a formal occassion and she needed to get from place A to place B and the train was the most convenient method? its not like people just wake up and decide "well today I'm going to ride the train, so I shoudl wear train appropriate clothing." no its "today I'm going to my best friend's bridal shower, I'm going to look nice, I geuss I'll take the train there"
You definitely deserve this... Seriously, what is the point of buying a $500 article of clothing? That is entirely pointless, and a waste of your money. Designer crap isn't worth that much. It's just a normal piece of material with a name slapped on it. FYI, guys don't care that much about designer labels. They care about the way it looks on you. So be more intelligent next time and find something flattering, for a price that isn't retarded.
#164 your post shows the problem with female thinking. A video game system that costs $400 has a lifespan of 5-10 years and will probably be used at least a few times a week by a dedicated person. A $400 dress has a lifespan of 2 years, and will probably be worn 3 or 4 times. This means that the dress has the price of $100/use while the video game console has the price of $4.50/use if the console is only used 3 times a week for 5 years. Same with TVs. TVs are frivolous? Really? The average American spends 151 hours watching television a month. Given the lifespan of a $5000 TV is around 3 or 4 years, at 151 times a month the TV comes out to a dollar per use. This is even cheaper than the video game console.
LOL at the people getting all bent out of shape about someone wearing a $500 dress on a train. Clearly not into fashion at all! Bet they'd be damn shocked if they knew how much the outfits of many people on trains cost. #172 is an idiot. Most women (that I know, anyway) calculate cost per wear on clothing and accessories. I have $700 shoes that I've had for a bit over 5 years. I've worn them approx once every week. They're down to about $2.70 per wear at the moment, and it only gets better every time I wear them. My point is, you seem to think that women who buy expensive clothing and accessories don't actually wear them very often. But you obviously don't actually know anything about this, because you're so wrong. But anyway! I'm gonna say YDI, not because you spent $500 on a dress, but because you clearly bought a dress that isn't flattering to your shape! Biggest mistake ever. Maybe you can still take it back?
I can feel for you. It's happened to me too. The first time I was buying a dress for my new-born niece and the assistant assumed it was for my baby. I was 15 back then and definitely not pregnant! The other two times were on the bus commuting to work. The first time both of us were very embarrassed. The second time I swallowed my protest and actually said nothing as it was a 45 min ride out town. People can be dumb and make mistakes. If it happens to you, just take advantage of the situation... even if it's a crappy one.
should have spent the extra money on one of those control undergarment things.

YDI for buying a five hundred dollar dress.
Is that where you keep your ego? YDI.
