there's a lot of good stuff other then coffe at starbucks choose something
I don't tip people, maybe Aus is different to America but I already paid my bill why should I pay any more?
Waitresses? Tea? In a pub? Wtf kind of pub is this!? Also you were given 10% which is the usual rate. Suck it up.
i wish everyone knew how to tip . here's a little class for u ignorant people . 10% = shitty tip 15% = normal tip 18% = good tip 20% = excellent tip it's not easy being a sever, assholes .
For the USA, that is. In the UK, 10% is standard, because waitresses have the same minimum wage as anywhere else. But, OP, at least they gave you something. I mean, sure, 10$ would've been much nicer for you, but 5$ to spend on muffins is better than 0$, right?
If I get average service, you'll get a minimum 10% tip, though it's often 15%. If I get exceptional service, you'll get up to 30%, depending how exceptional the service was. If it's a buffet, you'll get nothing (bringing me one drink does not earn you a tip). If it's one of those places that adds a "10% service charge", I will never give more than 10%. They've made the tip mandatory and that's insulting to me. Oh well, I actually save money by paying 10%, as I usually leave 15%.. If you give me exceptionally crappy service, I will leave you a 2 cent tip (way more insulting than no tip at all) and make sure to tell you to "keep the change".

Well, there's tea and pastries there, too, yanno. I always get a Chai when I go there. No reason to be completely thankless.
Ooh, burn! I was tipped with toothbrushes once. Hey cool, number 1 =D
