Get police involved, if you still have the original packaging with the serial number and a receipt they have to give it to you.

Go onto your Itunes account and get the serial number and call the police, if it's the same they'll give it back to you.

You should have gone up to the kid and asked him what his name was if he was smart he would say the name on the case if he was not he would say his real name and since most kids don't think he would probably say his real name. Then you have a right to accuse him and point out the case and everything. If the parents still yelled at you then they are just retarded and probably embarrassed that their child did something like that.
