Missusluv313 tells us more.
Hello everyone! Yes, he was joking. I just didn't find that shit funny. And he actually is a good doctor. But to make up for it, he gave me extra time off from work. I don't think he would do that to/for everybody, but I work at that hospital.

It's called a joke. Sometimes doctors make them.
Now that's a great bedside manner! FYL, ut hopefully that was just a joke due to more serious issues you have recovered from.
"you see dead people"
The poor doctor had been mourning your death and felt like a complete failure for letting you die. I guess the doctor had a good day.
Be thankful the dead collector wasn't wandering about DC: Bring out your dead Doc: Here she is OP: I'm not dead yet. Doc: *aims gun: Bang!* Now she is...
I think I'll go for a walk!
This was obviously a joke from the dr...
Yeah, "I thought you died... LOL"... No, I don't get it :/
Calm down everyone. I make jokes like this with my patients all the time, especially the ones who were close to death. I typically say something like "You look pretty good for someone who should be dead!" I think patients are even more appreciative when they know how close they were to dying. It puts some perspective on things.
My dad's a Pediatrician and when kids come to his office (or us in the house), with legs or arms pain, sometimes he would say, as a joke, "if we cut it, it will not bother you anymore". Usually kids find it funny and feel at ease to talk to him. If not, he will simply explain it is a joke and then the feel at ease, too.
