I am an avid wow player myself..but real life should come first...his raid team would get over him not being there...if not find others to raid with.

There's only a certain extent of ignoring important things for games until it's completely ridiculous and uncalled for. Not being there for comfort for you wife in labor, is definitely close to the top of the list.
