Today, I went into Whole Foods asking if they carried a supplement called Carnosine. The girl assisting me had no idea what it was, but asked, "Is this for weight loss?" FML

Well it seems like she wasn't trying to be mean, but she shouldn't assume. Maybe alot of people come in for weight loss pills?

you shoulda just been like "yeah, I bet you know all about that", then walked off with yo diva self.

She clearly had no idea what she was talking about OP. Because of its antioxidant properties and its effects on AGEs, carnosine supplements can be used in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and the prevention of atherosclerosis and joint inflammation, according to “Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database.” It can also bind to toxic heavy metals thus safely removing them from the body. According to Marios Kyriazis, M.D., carnosine also helps prevent cancer, boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation, increases libido, promotes wound and post surgical healing, protect against radiation damage, prevents and treats gastric ulcers and many more. Nothing about weight loss. Sounds to me it was a insult. Sorry OP. try to have a nice day anyway.

You lost me after the first line there bro

That's a textbook answer. HOW do you think it does all that? By speeding up cellular renual andgiving the person an energy boost. All antioxidents and amino acids can aid in weight loss. And anything that increases libido will increse testosterone, and therefore, decrease fat mass.

I think you're assuming that the girl knew what Carnosine was and was trying to be insulting -- it sounds to me like she had no idea what it was and needed to narrow down what she was looking for. She probably gets asked for weird diet pills all the time and figured there was a high probability that this was the same thing.

No, but it's looks like you are the retarded one. Not much of a response huh? Maybe you should expand your vocabulary.

I probably would have asked the same thing ! I don't understand what the problem is ?? She was just trying to help !

Tell her she looks fine and doesn't need them

Carnizine sounds like lipozine which is a weight loss drug. What is it anyway?

She was probing you so she knew where to take you in the store. So she thinks you are fat, big deal.

I don't think she meant it as an insult. Sometimes you put your foot in your mouth.

Ok, from someone who takes it for medical reasons, it's carnitine. That's the name of the actual supplement. Maybe carnisor is a brand name, but it's really bothering me.

It seems like 41 is one of the few people who actually knows anything about what OP was talking about, so it's reasonable for her to "call people out ."

Actually it's not. Look it up. "Carnisor" isn't a supplement at all. Dumb ass

Why do you keep calling it "carnisor"?! .. it's ******* carnosine.. And I did look it up, and it is a supplement, dumbass.

I don't think she was trying to be rude, just trying to be a good worker and try to help

FHL a little bit too :/ must be embarassing. I'm sure she didn't mean it that way.
