Today, I went to a movie with a girl I went to high school with. There was a preview for an upcoming 3D movie. I asked her if she had ever seen a 3D movie before. She told me she couldn't because she is blind in one eye. Apparently it's a "sensitive subject." FML

Today, I went to a movie with my boyfriend. In the lobby, I asked why the glasses were not working. I said, "Do they only work inside the theater?" My boyfriend replied, "3-D glasses just work inside the movie, everything else in the World is pretty much 3-D." FML

Today, I went to the movies. A really cute girl sat beside me. I tried to strike up a conversation with her until she turned to look at me and I realized he was a guy. I couldn't even finish the movie because I felt his judging eyes burn holes into me the entire time. FML

Today, I went to the movies with my boyfriend. The movie was in 3D, and he couldn't help but notice it would be much cooler if you could feel what the characters did. He spent the next two hours slapping me every time the person in the movie did, claiming the movie would be "better". FML

Today, my nephew spent a long while enthusiastically telling me how amazing his new 3D TV system is. I felt his pain as his face turned white when he remembered that I'm blind in one eye since birth. FML

Today, I went to the cinema with a girl I like. Knowing she has a bit of a soft spot for me, I was keen to sit in the back row. Too bad her sister tagged along, insisted that we sit somewhere else, and scolded me every time I so much looked at her. I ended up paying for the unwanted guest as well. FML

A lot of people handle disabilities differently. Some people who can only see out of one eye get over it, others don't. If she wasn't lying, and got offended or pissed she probably still isn't over it. Being in high school and being half blind isn't easy. She has probably been made fun of for it so yes, it would be a sensitive subject and who knows if she knew that he really didn't know she was blind in one eye or if she thought he could be making fun of her. Yeah, I know they went to a movie together and all but still, a lot of people have "friends" that make inappropriate jokes. People shouldn't judge too much when they read an FML *like this* because it is just an excerpt from someone's life. ((Some FML's you can already tell if someone is a dick or not))

Even if you do see "dept" PERFECTLY, which I doubt, that's still irrelevant because you need both eyes to see 3D movies properly. We're talking stereoscopic here, not CG.

I think anyone who calls this girl a bitch is just... Overusing a strong word? Seriously, yes, its unjust of her to get mad at him for such a simple and innocent question, but why calll her a bitch? That word should be reserved for special meaningful occasions, such as when your wife cuts your penis off. Its like saying *love* instead of enjoy or like, it takes meaning from the word. You need 2 eyes to have 3d vision and depth perception. If you were to watch a 3d movie with one eye, only one of the filters would be blocked out.

I have a very bad lazy eye, bad astigmatism in both eyes and mostly blind in one of my eyes. I can't watch 3D movies because I may as well be blind. It just so happens to be a very sensitive subject for me so I understand where she's coming from.

I always forget when my friend is colourblind, so I'm forever asking stupid questions like 'What colour is your new bedspread/iPod/etc'. And I feel like an idiot afterwards, but she never takes it too badly

that sucks for you, but this just got my totally excited cuz i remembered im FINALLY gonna be able to see 3 d movies cuz im getting eye surg in a few days :)
