Today, I went to get my hair highlighted at the salon. The salonist mixed up my blonde hair dye with some other girl's hot pink and violet dye. Now I look like a cheap hooker. FML

Today, I tried dying my hair blonde. I put my hair in a bun and waited for it to dye. I guess I did something wrong, because my hair is now 4 different shades of blonde/orange, along with patches of my natural black hair. FML

Today, after wasting $60 and 3 hours of my time getting my hair dyed to get rid of the ugly orange tint it had from the last time I got my hair dyed, it turned out to be the exact same color I started with. I go on vacation in 6 days and hate my hair. I'm not looking forward to taking pictures, that’s for sure. FML

Today, I colored my hair. It was supposed to turn out blonde, but it became more a mix of red and brown and blonde patches. When I tried coloring everything back, a green tint was added. My hair is at the moment red, brown, blonde and green. FML

I know this reply is way late, but a lot of salons have different departments; one for styling/cutting hair and one for coloring hair (they don't call it "dying" hair in the salon world). So my guess is, in this case, the person would be called a "colorist". Unless that particular salon just had people that do both, which is rare. The only reason I know this is because my best friend is a colorist. I hope that helped! :)

I'm sorry they screwed up, but what the hell is with the pathetic clichés! Funky hair is gorgeous and amazing and just awesome if you can pull it off; I'd personally be way more ashamed to get boring california high school brat blond highlights than crazy colors.
