Today, I was at the gynecologist and he was performing a routine check-up. He was a new doctor and I was just slightly uncomfortable with him. About mid-check-up, as he felt around my uterus, he said in a cartoonish voice, "Oh, it's so squishy up here." The doctor turned me into a sock puppet. FML

Today, I went to my gynecologist's for a check-up. After the doctor checked me I went to the bathroom. It turns out the walls aren't soundproofed, because I could hear the doctor telling his assistant, "God! How did she ever find a husband?" FML

I have been to the doctor quite a few times where they had to check my heartbeat and the doctor(s) have NEVER had to go up my shirt to do so. It's not just one doctor either. Several different doctors have checked my heartbeat. So, I would have to agree with granny on this one. If I went to a doctor and they tried to go up my shirt just to check my heartbeat I would be pissed.

Might be a perv, but more likely was listening for heart tones as in murmurs or other noises an unhealthy heart makes. This is done when a person receives a thorough exam. They will listen in more than one location, typically 4 due to how sound is transmitted from the heart. He should have explained it. So probably just need to chill out.

you don't need to have a doctor the same gender as you. :| you do realize there are male gynecologists, right? however, i've never had a doctor (male or female) lift my shirt up. if they were checking my heart beat, they normally did it from the neckhole and didn't do any weird actions.
