Today, I went to my gynecologist's for a check-up. After the doctor checked me I went to the bathroom. It turns out the walls aren't soundproofed, because I could hear the doctor telling his assistant, "God! How did she ever find a husband?" FML

Completely ******* disrespectful, and unprofessional. I would file a complaint so ******* fast. If there was something wrong like you don't wash enough or something, he could have approached you in a PROFESSIONAL and tactful way like a gynecologist SHOULD. But if he were commenting on the shape/appearance of your lady parts, that makes me even more furious. You should be able to trust your gyno to not judge you, and so many women hate the way their vaginas look already... ****** up, so ******* ****** up. Get that douche bag fired if possible, he doesn't deserve his job AT ALL. I'm so sorry OP.

Get a doctor FIRED over an insensitive comment? Are you completely off your damned rocker? If OP files a complaint, what's the medical board going to do? Spank him and say "Oh doctor, you shouldn't say such things! Bad doctor! Bad!!" Give me a break. All OP should do is write a nasty letter to the doctor explaining why she's taking her business (and ******) elsewhere.

The simplest thing is for OP to get another doctor. The Gyno is probably private practice and is unlikely to be "fired" or disciplined in any way unless a large number of customers are having problems.

#48, A nasty letter, yes. Copied to the senior partner in the practice, if there is one. In the US, there are lots of online doctor review sites; OP also can tell of her experience there, unless the doctor had made her sign an agreement to not review negatively on such sites. (If a doctor handed me such an agreement, I'd consider the doctor an asshole, not signed it, and told him/her that as I left.)

Yes Doc you can review doctors now but usually the complaints are about rude receptionists and not always the doctor themselves.
