Today, I went to my son's high school play. The moment I arrived at the auditorium, I shouted out his name to let him know I made it. Thinking I was a student, a teacher yelled, "SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!" Scared out of my mind, I quickly obeyed, to mass giggling from the kids. FML

it's not even acceptable in the American south. ydi.

Uh buddy, that isn't "trashy" or "ghetto". It's her being a supportive mother k? Take your little racist comments somewhere else. That comment was very inappropriate and COMPLETELY unnecessary.

lady you can wave to your son in a polite manner without shouting, but youll prob over do this too by smacking 6 people while you wace your arms like a lunatic. have respect

Today, my mum ran in to my school play, and started yelling my name. She was told to sit down and shut up by one of the teachers, who thought that she was a badly behaved pupil. I'm in highschool. FML.

HAHAHA! I could totally see that happening to me! Even as an adult, there's this thing about teachers yelling at me that compels me to obey with a "Yes, ma'am!" attitude!

take it as a compliment, you look like a student

Teachers shouldnt talk to students like that just as much as they shouldnd talk to adults like that
