Today, I went to my son's soccer game. I cheered his name at the top my lungs and waved with a grin on my face. I saw him whisper something to a team mate so I watched the film my husband took later that night. His friend asked, "Who is that?" and my son replied, "I don't know some fat bitch." FML

I agree with #146, how could you have even heard that? and anyway, he's just a kid and was obviously embarrassed. But you should let on that you did hear it so he'll know if the future not to speak so unkindly of his mother

That's pretty awful...I'm assuming your son is around 13/14 but then again most 13/14 year olds tend to be assholes, and think they know everything.

I never understood why someone would feel embarassed by another person's behavior: my mom does something embarassing? Oh well, SHE did it? She was the one screaming her head off or whatever, not me, why should I be bothered? You can't control other people's behavior, so why stress about what they do? They're the ones choosing to put themselves out there!

If he's calling you a "fat b***", it doesn't even matter if you were embarrassing him or not. He could have told you in private instead of making fun of you with his friends just to look cool. My suggestion is, next parent teacher conference, have the same attitude. Then, tell him that he is an embarrassment to your whole family. Naw, I'm just kidding, but I wouldn't just sit and take that.

#154, I agree. I don't get that either. I don't really get why it's embarrassing when someone is cheering for you either.
