Today, I went to the Grand Canyon with my family. Also today, I found out that I have a crippling fear of heights. My family left me on a ledge hyperventilating and having a mental breakdown, while they hiked for another 2 hours. They won't stop telling me how pretty it was and what I missed. FML

Today, I went to a theme park with my friends. I was excited to ride the rollercoasters, but just as we were about to get on the biggest one, I realized I'd had left my glasses in the car. I can't see shit without them, but I decided to go on the ride anyway. I spent the entire time screaming in terror while my friends laughed, while I couldn't see a thing. FML

Good money or not, one of them should have been a ******* good parent or sibling and stayed with her while the others moved on. Leaving someone hyperventilating is not safe at all.

As a fellow acrophobe, I can sympathize.

what did you expect, OP? that everyone cancel the trip and hold your hand during your way back?

I also have a horrible fear of heights my dad is in the navy now a master chief petty officer so he gave a tour of the George H.W. Bush (a air craft carrier) and close to the end he starts to take me up the stairs to the captains mast when we are almost there out of nowhere I start to have panic attack with nausea, jello legs, tears and hyperventilating.

well what da **** did you expect from them? wanted to stay with you?

That happened to me once but it was about something else and in the woods

I have literally passed out on top of a mountain.

Your family sounds like it's full of nice people.
