Today, I went to the movies. A really cute girl sat beside me. I tried to strike up a conversation with her until she turned to look at me and I realized he was a guy. I couldn't even finish the movie because I felt his judging eyes burn holes into me the entire time. FML

Op, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that it was probably really really dark in there at the time.

And FWOOSH. There. The comments just erupted into a full on gay debate. You're welcome, guys.

why would you try to flirt in a movie theater people want to watch a movie without people talking, usually.

YDI. This is as obnoxious as the guys who try to talk to me at the library. While I'm wearing headphones. There are places that women might be interested in casual conversations with strangers. Libraries and movie theaters are likely not those places. Try a bar.

Bars are too loud. Plus, those are the wrong kind of girls. Maybe I'm just old.

I going by the guess that because its dark you can't recognize the person a guy or a girl. If my guess is wrong i am not sure what else to say

So were you more embarrassed that you thought a guy was a cute girl, or that you tried to talk to him? Either way, I'm sorry. I understand it was dark, and some people look as if they could be either sex, even in bright lights. Sucks man

just wondering how you thought it was a really cute girl and you clearly didn't even see them?
