Today, I went to the park and sat down on a bench to enjoy my coffee. I heard a few young girls behind me talking about how their first experience of sex was. I turned around to see how old these girls really were. One of them was my daughter. FML

You're obviously not very observant. What kind of parent sits in front of their child and doesn't notice them, and then doesn't recognize their voice when sitting close enough to hear the entire conversation? If your daughter is young enough for this to be truly a 'life-******* situation' to you, you should be keeping better tabs on what she's doing in the first place.

It's not an FML unless she didn't use birth control, in which case it's probably a YDI if you didn't teach her about safe sex. And to the person who said you can take her to the doctor to find out if she is a virgin or not: DOCTORS CANNOT DETERMINE THAT! A girl can loose that part that supposedly indicates virginity (the hymen) doing normal, everyday things.

Dude, you're an old perv. You can't listen onto what their saying even if your daughter is there too. I'm assuming she's old enough for sex since she is allowed to go out with friends alone. You're just nosy an rude.

"Yes, you may go to the park with your friends from school. And since I'm granting you this freedom, you are also free to have sex." Yeah, no. My dad lets me drive around town and hang out with my friends without chaperones, doesn't mean he would be happy if I was (which I'm not) sexually active. Most parents give their children some independence because they trust them to make good choices; they don't just let you completely off the leash and say if you're mature enough for one responsibility, you're ready for all of them.
