Today, I went to the store to buy groceries. I didn't care how I looked, so I wore an old shirt that said, "Thousands of my potential children died on your daughter's face last night." I ran into my girlfriend's parents at the store. FML

...Why do you even own a shirt that says that, much less wear it in public? XD. This made me laugh, but you definitely deserve it. Wear vulgar clothes, get in trouble.

and briana please stop you're not making woman look too good by saying that, I'd ay your being worse than the shirt... I was going to say some more things but then I clicked your profile and saw, "feminist; atheist; LGBT ally; vegetarian; liberalfeminist; atheist; LGBT ally; vegetarian; liberal" So lets just say all that crap made me stop.

fine. I'll just I along with the general tone of the rest of the thread: LMAO!! I want that shirt! That's hilarious! Hahahahahahahahaha!!! I bet the bitch's face smelled like bleach! Sucks you ran into her parents though. FYL. Better?

I hold nothing against you for not finding humor in the joke. But still, if someone allows a joke to desensitize them to violence, then they have have worse problems than the topic at hand. I felt obliged to show you dictionary definitions because you showed that you didn't understand the word violence. Masters degree in womens studies? Why am I not surprised. I may not have taken a class, but it seems that anyone who finds the joke at hand funny isn't going to be convinced against misogyny by someone speaking up against it (but, once again, it is highly unlikely that they are misogynistic, despite actions which may offend women...or, more blatantly, offend stuck up feminists). Edit: I once again direct you to read my first comments in this FML (the numbers are in my first reply to you, I believe).

It doesn't matter anyway. Forget I even said anything. Sorry to make everyone so mad and annoyed and whatever else you're feeling. OP: sorry about your unfortunate and ironic incident.

YDI because that shirt is disgusting.

Briana, get back in the kitchen and make me a sammich. :D But seriously how does wearingAJokeTshirt == violence against women?

Briana, women's studies takes the idea of feminism to a whole different level (that is my opinion though. I'm on the fringe, I don't expect respect just because I can reproduce. I demand it because I'm good at what I do in my field.) Anyway, I love the fact you focused on the western patriarchal society. It gives wonderful, fuzzy feelings that you focused on America and not the Eastern societies which have it far worse than we do in America and Western Europe. Did you also focus on Latin American societies? What about Native American societies in which rape is ROUTINE and women have no where to go? Just asking is all *smiles* I'm by far one of the toughest, pushiest, meanest women you will meet (but I can also play my audience. I may be a better feminist than you). And that isn't coming from me, that is coming from my friends. Men tend to be scared of me (I don't know why...) and many women are intimated by me (o.k, almost all) and I still think that you need to relax a little, ok? You don't get anywhere in this world with that attitude--people, men and women, will just blow you off as a feminist b*tch who doesn't know anything about the real world. Sadly, you have to play people. Don't apologize for saying anything--you have the right to you opinion. People just don't agree with it is all.
