Today, I woke up and went into the bathroom and noticed a dark mass in the toilet. Thinking someone took a dump and didn't flush, I approached the toilet ready to dispose of it. That's when I noticed its whiskers and ears. It was a rat, and it was alive. FML

Today, I noticed my shower drain wasn't draining well. I cleaned it out, thinking it was just a rat's nest of hair. Wrong. It was an actual dead rat. FML

Today, my water wouldn't go down my shower drain. Confused, I stuck a metal stick expecting hair, but instead stabbed and pulled up a rat that was dead in my drain. FML

Today, after my house almost got broken into last week, when I heard some noises in the kitchen I went to investigate. I saw a huge rat run across my floor, and nearly peed myself thinking it was an intruder. FML

Today, I woke up to a squeaking noise and the feeling of something furry on my cheek. I smiled, thinking it was my guinea pigs nosing me awake. Then I remembered that my guinea pigs were in their cage on the other side of the room, and opened my eyes to see the biggest rat ever staring right at me. FML

Today, I made my way to bed around 4am after spending all night hanging out with my family. When I got to my bed, I started to clear a spot to lay down. Almost immediately, my hand touched something furry and cold and, fearing the worst, I turned the light on. Turns out my cat left me a half eaten rodent. FML

Today, I spent hours crawling through miles of pipe to finally reach the surface and escape the sewer. As I'm about to exit a toilet, a human comes in, thinks I'm a piece of poop, and flushes me back down the toilet. FML

Throw in some rat poison and flush depending on how big it was... if it was too big it might clog But it's a good thing you caught it before yo ass sat down on a nasty wet rat lol

damn that really does suck. We had rats in our apartment last winter, and i could hear them through the walls when they'd run around. They would take food off of our counters too, i hated it. We killed about 7 of them before we quit hearing them. Rats suck.

OMG I HATE RATS SO MUCH. This FML is seriously one of my worst fears come to life, and I actually really need to piss, but it's 3am and my toilet is outdoors. In the inner city. **** that! I would be traumatised for life if I was you. I can't even see a rat on tv without covering my eyes. Have read 1984/American Psycho/etc etc waaaaay too many times. OMG I think I need a sedative.
