Today, I woke up, got dressed, and left for the 1 hour drive to the nearest vet. When I arrived, I realized that I left my cat in its carrier on my kitchen counter. FML

Common sense doesn't seem to be so common anymore

How do you forget the only reason you are driving to the vet?

What I want to know is how OP didn't realize there was no yowling the whole way there. Most of my cats sound like they're being tortured for at least 10 minutes of my half hour vet trip... each way...

But than there was a twist! You OP ARE the cat. Dun dun dun!...

..how is that even possible? Not once, you didn't check to see how your cat was doing on the drive over?

We've all left the house without something important. Just be happy your cat was safe, and contained.. Although prob uncomfortable... And at least it wasn't a kid;)

You never turned to check on the cat in an entire hour of being in the car?

What did the vet say, shall I give you a checkup instead?

I guess you have a remarkably quiet cat when it comes to car journeys. I'd know in a second if my cat wasn't in the car - he'd be yowling his head off otherwise (he loathes car rides). Still, a whole hour before you noticed you forgot your cat? Damn, that is a bit silly! But not the end of the world. Your cat was probably a bit bored and confused in its carrier but at least it wasn't in any danger.
