Today, I woke up really early before my mom so I could make pancakes for Mother's Day. I placed everything on a tray and even picked a flower, had a card for her and took it to her bedroom. She said, "You shouldn't have, pancakes are fattening." She took one bite and fed the rest to the dogs. FML

Today, my mom had me and my little brother make pancakes for breakfast. I had to let the dog out of the house to go do his business, so I had my little brother wait there and told him not to touch anything. I came back 5 minutes later, and there were cracked eggs in the almost-done batter. FML

Today, I made my mom cookies for Mother's Day. My brother took all the cookies to work as a snack, because I didn't specifically tell him that the homemade "MOM" hearts weren't meant for him. FML

Today, I woke up and decided to make my mom a special Easter breakfast in bed. I pre-heated the oven to bake the sausage just the way she likes. Guess where my easter basket was. FML

Today, I woke up early and spent hours baking and icing a three-tier cake for my friend's eighteenth birthday, which is this evening. I just found out my mother threw it in the compost bin because she's on a diet and it was "tempting" her. FML

Today, I sent a $120 bouquet of flowers for mother's day. When I called tonight see if my Mom got them, she replied that they were still on the doorstep because she "didn't want the dogs to get excited and start barking" when she opened the front door to bring them in. FML

Today, I found out that my mother organized someone to feed my pets because I would be out of town overnight, even though I told her that I would be back in the morning and they would be fine. They overfed my dogs, with one of them eating over 10% of her weight, and now she may have bloat, which is often fatal. FML

Today, I wanted to do something nice for my mom. So, while she was sleeping, I cleaned the whole house for her and even made her breakfast. A few minutes later, she came downstairs and yelled at me to keep it down because she was trying to sleep. FML

Today, I decided to make an almighty breakfast of fried eggs and bacon. I couldn't find anything to flip the eggs with so I used a red spatula that my sister handed me. As I was finishing a delicious fry up, my mom came downstairs and asked me why the cat litter scoop was resting in the frying pan. FML

Roooh, at least, she tried. Why would anyone need to be upset for a pancake ? I know it's not good, but assuming that most FML readers are from the US, it would be so easy to say "so american". Why the need to concentrate on the minor issue here ? And, well, if you think the mother doesn't care enough to play nice to her kid's ego, don't you think the kid doesn't care enough to take the time to know his/her mother ? In my opinion, mother's day is to do something for my mother that would make her happy, not something I would do because I was too lazy to take the time to think about what would (or not) please her. And she's not a bitch because she watch her diet. She could have diabete, or eating disorders.. Anything we don't know about and the kid forgot. Well, at least, it was nice to take the time to do something, and she acknowledged it. I don't think the FML is funny, or sad enough to be here, though.

What an ungrateful wretch. So what if she's on a diet? Diet?! Ta loca diet!! At least PRETEND to like and eat them! Don't just throw it in their face. It's called diplomacy, people.
