Today, in an effort to make new friends in my history class, I sat in the empty seat next to a friendly-looking guy. He got up, walked away, and sat down in a different seat. FML

What an ass. Clearly, looks can be deceiving. Next time go sit next to the pitbull-looking guy.

Follow him and be a creeper, but make it look really obvious. When he starts talking to you, spaz out and act like a weirdo. But FYL, wait a bit and people will start talking to to you.

You know the rule, OP: If you can't see the creepy person in class, it's you.

If you are both guys it could have creeped him out? Hard to tell if ur a guy or girl on the App. Maybe he had a tummy issue. Really you just never know.

So what? You sat next to someone you don't know and didn't even say hello. Other people are allowed to want their own space. Perhaps he was even saving the seat for someone else, and instead of telling you to get lost, simply chose to move to an open area.

If you're a girl, try being hot next time and then the guy will have no issues. In my first Finance tutorial of the semester a while back this total hottie sat right next to me. And then she offered me some nuts that she had. Lol. Maybe bring nuts next time.

Several people have said they think sitting next to someone you don't know (in class) is creepy, or that you should say something first. Normally I'm the one who is excessively creeped out by things (I like my space), but I don't really see that as being creepy or even remotely out of the ordinary. I mean, after 5 semesters of college classes, I've had so many random people sit by me without so much as glancing at me that I barely even notice. The only way I'd consider it creepy is if it was close seating, like auditorium style. But if it's in a regular classroom, with desks, with aisles between them? They're still like two feet away, so who cares? Now, if it was auditorium-style seating, then I agree, sitting right next to someone when there are open seats is a bit weird.

yo **** that guy lol! what a ducth!

Oh and now it's not even worth trying anymore right? He was probably saving that seat for someone that's why we have verbal communication...

Is your name Chris by any chance? because everybody hates Chris

I've moved away from someone like that because I wanted more room and the seat I moved to had 2 empty spots. lol
