Today, in class, I asked my teacher for a "rubber". I didn't realise that in America "rubber" doesn't mean "eraser", it means condom. FML

So that's why everyone looked strangely when I asked for a rubber in a history test!!!!!! Oh. That's not good :/ silly yanks hehe.

'Erasers' are made of rubber. Condoms are made of latex. Guess which nation's version makes more sense.

you are correct good sir. which is why i never use the term "rubber" for condoms

Exactly. We Americans are idiots; I admit it.

Original condoms were made of rubber. So ours does :)

They used to be made of rubber I think.

Oh man! That sucks! And I do agree with paddyhb, your version makes more sense than ours. ^_^

I didn't know rubber meant condom in America. And I've been living here for 10 years. *sadface*

I was born and raised in America and LOL I just heard of it too

OMG I can so see my self doing that if I ever go to america.

i would do the exact same thing we also call erasers, rubbers in australia in fact no one ever says eraser over here
