Today, is my brothers 16th birthday. He got keys to the Lexus. I'm 18, have no car, and got pajama pants and chapstick for my birthday. FML

that happened to me this Christmas. I live 2000 miles away from parents, and after pleading they got me a 600 dollar car (it's older than I am) because I really needed one for transport. On Christmas they gave my little sister their new Hyundai. I got a sheet set.

Favoritism seems to be given to the younger one. Especially if they're a girl.

#83 in most cases this is probably true, but I am the youngest. I am also a girl. My parents like my second oldest brother ALOT more than me. Trust me

You should key his car until its un-recognizable then take the chapstick you got and shove it into his ignition. Just an idea ^_^'

dude, that is one of the worst FMLs I've heard in a while, that REALLY sucks man, I'm so sorry

I've been working since I was 16 & bought my own car when I was 18. When my brother turned 18 he got my dad's car, which was newer than the one I bought. Trust me, you are not alone.

I agree with number 38. Also, estrangement. It's a good thing.

Your brother is 16? He is gonna crash the car any way.....

wax the entrance to his room with chapstick.

To the people saying "Ohh poor you, no car for your birthday.. deal with it", I don't think its really the lack of car that is FML, but rather the obvious disparity in treatment of the two siblings. I mean I would be happy with a 30$ gift for my bday, but if my parents spent $10 000 on a sibling, and 30$ on me, I might feel a little slighted. It's not about the money, it's about the obvious favoritsm.
