Okay, I am 15 and I have about 6 billion times more sense, and patriotism than all these morons. YOU ARE A HERO AND SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE ONE!!!!!! these idiots are probably sitting on their fat asses all day, contributing little to nothing to our country everyday. I bet half of them can even spell army. If it weren't for you, and all of the people like you we wouldn't have an FML for them to bash you on. We wouldn't have anything. And I'm not saying I like war, but it is necessary. Do you think that we should've just sat and watched Nazi Germany kill all the Jews? Hell no. Do you think we should've sat and watched Saddam Hussein torture his country? yeah, think about that. AND DO YOU REMEMBER 9/11? We have a reason to fight, and if I could meet this soldier right now, I would give you a huge hug and thank you for risking your life just for me and all of the morons out there. My brother is in your shoes right now, and i would kill to see him.
to aleje, the wars weren't started by us honey, think about it. and you really think they would leave us alone? i don't think crashing planes into the twin towers, pentagon, and almost the white house is leaving us alone. and i think you just generalized rednecks to be unappreciative of their country... am i aloud to call you a hypocrite now?
That sucks...but at least once you're home you'll be home for a while & can have some time together. Just remember what's important in your relationship & you'll be fine. For the asshat that seems to think only losers & idiots right out of highschool join the Army...my husband is 28 years old & joined earlier this year. We've been married for 6 years, and he held a couple of decent paying jobs since I've known him. He truly wanted to work in the medical field, but we couldn't manage school & jobs with two kids...things were just getting out of hand. He joined the Army b/c they'll start his training & he'll have the oppurtunity to advance into the career field he TRULY wants. At some point, he'll be able to try for Officer Candidate School. His plan is to be career...and we've been seperated 6 months so far...with a couple to go. Then when he comes home for two weeks, we'll move away from our home town. He'll be deployed shortly after. OP...I hope you guys get the chance to see the beautiful places our world has to offer & that somehow that might make up a little for being seperated for so long. :( Thank you!
wow, broooooock, im really sorry. you may have been reading these comments from people who have never been in your type of situation and are still ignorant and rude enough to tell you what you have decided to do with your life is wrong. once again, good luck with everything, i hope you come home safe.
trust me man, it could be worse... i've only seen my husband for a total of five days in over a year and a half, for only one of which we've been married... still no honeymoon, i'm in iraq, and he might have to leave for afghanistan before i even get back from iraq. yes, your situation sucks, i'm not trying to downplay it AT ALL. just know, it could be worse. i'm sorry you're having such a rough time with it.
You know what? It really saddens me that people have such disrespect for the armed forces. I havent seen my fiance for 7.5 months because he's in Kurie, Japan watching every move that NK makes. & yea I miss him to death and I don't think that it will ever get easier.... But I'm damn proud of him for doing what he does! OP- I'm sorry that all the jackasses have said these things. **** em'! Your over there protecting their asses and making sure they can have freedom of speech! Come home safe and thankyou for doing what you do. God bless our troops....
& the people that keep running there **** suckers saying that he signed up for this. you can go to hell! yea if brave men like him didnt sign up your ass would be shipped over there! O and our soldiers keep getting recycled due to stop-loss, have you ever thought about that one? It's a back-door draft. Did they sign up for that? NO they sure as hell didn't. So I suggest you stop talking shit because karma is a bitch! I hope you all get drafted and have to go over there and see what sacrifices they accutally make for you all to run your ******* mouths. O wait you guys would be ******* like you are and shove your tail between your legs and run to Canada. Have a nice life and **** off!

Last time I checked, we were free before we were in this war. We actually invaded THEM. Not to say I don't have respect for the troops, but we are fighting in a war that isn't ours. And for my pre-determined response to the people that will ramble on about how they attacked us first: Not one Iraqi has ever killed any of our people on our soil. 9/11 was mainly Saudi Arabians. As for OP, I'm terribly sorry for you. I don't think your life is fuckable, nor do you deserve it at all. You have a wife that loves you enough to stick by you for long periods at a time without seeing you. Be happy you have her, she sounds like a great girl.
So this guy is crazy about me, but we haven't ever been on a date because he went to the marines before he contacted me again. He was supposed to come back in June but it was postponed till August. So I know how that sucks for you. Hopefully things will get better. (I support you for being in the Army, btw)
