Today, it's my birthday. My boyfriend didn't get me a present. He did, however, get me a card from our cat. He signed it "Have a purrrrfect birthday." Then he left to go to work. I was alone all day long. FML

...What? At least he remembered. It's not like he can take a day off just because it's your birthday, you know. The fact that you were alone all day was your own fault, get some friends.

you know what? people like you are the reason girls PISS ME OFF. He did care and he showed it by leaving you a card, I'm sure he just thought it would be cute for the "cat" to give it to you... So don't go saying that he didn't give you one cause he did. And hello, welcome to life people have to work. I'm sure you would be alot more upset with him if he didn't have a job.. So instead of being so ungreatful why don't you take a chill pill, relax and learn how to enjoy life. Stop being so hard on you boy because pretty soon it looks like you won't have one. This is not an FML... And don't you have other friends beside your boy? You should have tried to do something with them... seriously, its not his fault.. get over it...

I don't really find this all that offensive. On my birthday I didn't get anything, and my guy didn't feel good so he kept to himself most of the day. But I was still content. Once you get older presents and cards don't matter so much anymore because he probably buys you stuff through-out the year anyway. Gifts on birthdays aren't necessary. If you think about it, it was just a day you were born. But to everyone else it's just another day. Plus, you're just celebrating being one year older which to me is kind of stupid. Why would you celebrate getting older anyway? lol

He didn't get you a gift, so it's an FML? Is remembering and a card not enough, that he put thought and effort into? 2. He had to work. And? 3. Be happy that he works all day to please you, and be happy that he's there a lot of the time, he can't be there always. Hope your birthday wasn't too bad, I'm sure you could've found things to do.
