Today, it's my girlfriend's birthday. To celebrate, I spent the day with her and then took her out to a really nice dinner. She is currently giving me the silent treatment because I didn't write "Happy Birthday" on her Facebook wall. FML

She needs to sort out her priorities...

#66: Pray tell, how exactly does OP deserve it? His girlfriend was being selfish and obnoxious. Just because it's her birthday doesn't mean that anyone has to prostrate themselves at her feet. OP was being romantic and kind, and made the day about her as much as he could.

Your sweet girlfriend of yours just wanted to show whom ever that your not a total jerk on face book! So go and say happy birthday to her on her Facebook ! End of story ! Girls can be bratty most of the time. it's all about the thought that counts. It's like getting a present for your birthday without the card! Really just think about it.

#69, Really, then she can write on her own wall what a wonderful birthday her great boyfriend gave her.

This is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. The guy I'm seeing and I don't say two words to each other on Facebook. Why? Because we say it all in person, on the phone, etc.. The only reason I can think OP would have expected a post on her Facebook was so that others could see it. I'm sorry, but if you need public awareness of your relationship to validate it, you're missing the point. And, frankly, it's just pathetic. Facebook isn't the real world. It's a website.

Then she is immature because it's just fb. Would she rather have Happy Birthday written on fb or go on a date and have a nice bday?
