quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.

no it isn't it's called parenting I rode a bike for two years to save up for my car. I didn't expect my parents to give me a car when I have the intellect and the discipline to provide for myself. giving your hildren should be child abuse because they never learn the value of everything that is handed to them.

A) That was a totally ******-up move by your mom. B) All the trolls that said that you are "spoiled" or it's "inappropriate" do not know other circumstances. What if you live in a place where it's practically expected to get a car when you can legally get a license. I live in Northern Virginia and most of the kids in the area around me get cars on their 16-18th birthday. It's a matter of local perspective. C) There are obviously a lot of people who's parents can't afford to get them a car, i.e. most of the ones who said they had to get a job and earn theirs. That's fine, but they shouldn't be trying to force that on you.

You;re another one of those spoiled brats. The only places where it's expected you get a new car on your 16th birthday is in rich, affluent areas. People like you and the OP need to learn that you might actually have to do something to earn nice things in this world.
