Ahaha... My parents did this to me too. But only because I (jokingly) said a new car when they asked what I wanted.
It feels so much better to earn it. I remember when my mom tried to give me a TV for my birthday, because my old one was from the late 80's, and was almost dead. I said that I didn't want it, and that I wanted to save up for one myself (even though the TV she was going to buy was pretty cheap). And now, I'm stealing the PS3 almost every night so I can use it on my awesome TV! And it's even more awesome since I EARNED IT.
when i was 16 i got a job and didnt have a car so what? just have to get rides take the bus or get a job close so you can walk to it. my parents expect me to buy a car so 17 got a job get rides to and from and saving my money. and too bad you have a horrible sense of humor. my dad said the same thing. i can have any car i want as long as its a matchbox and i thought that was clever
awww!! I'm sorry! that sucks and it's quite a let down but on the other hand.... hahhahaha u have a funny moma

quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.
Hey! You got your car, quit whining!
