Today, my parents said that they bought me a car. I had been begging for one for a year and they always said that I would have to pay for it myself. I got really excited and went to the garage to see my new ride. It was a Hot Wheels car with a note saying, "Save your money". FML

quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.

Just because you're 16 doesn't mean you're automatically entitled to a car. I'm 24 and have never had a car of my own because we can't afford it. All these kids who get cars at 16 still look at them as a toy and don't have the mental capacity to handle them, hence all the accidents. I hate seeing teenagers driving these brand new expensive cars, and half the time they're gabbing on a cell phone at the same time. It's an accident waiting to happen. But yeah, YDI - your mom said a car, and you got a car. Whaa, it wasn't a real car, but you sound like a brat who doesn't need one anyway.
