that sucks... but maybe u should get one ur self =]
**** your life only if you built it and played with it.
Sweet! You're sixteen! So what you should do is get off of your ass and get a job so you can get a car.
Now you are going to get a bunch of comments from people who didn't get cars for their birthdays. Ignore the jealous people who call you a spoiled brat. They would say you're spoiled no matter what you get.
Actually, I was betting the OP would start to see comments from rich bitches who are all like "I was given a lambo at 16 and I've been driving since I was 12" and blah blah blah but somehow I've only seen one comment like that. Still 50 more comments to go, though :/
I miss the days where kids actually WANTED to save up for their own cars... But yeah, seriously dude, listen to what most of these people said. Don't expect your family to give everything in life to you. There are soooo many people who would kill to be in your position, so count your blessings that, not only are you alive and you actually have a mother, but that you also have a parent who can provide for you. So grow a pair, and grow up.
same old story... boring
People who are saying you're spoiled are just jealous they had to actually work for their car. But really, don't expect your parents to buy you a vehicle just because your sixteen. Gas and insurance cost a lot. It helps if your parents pay for some of it. I didn't get my first car until I was 17 and I use it all the time. You probably won't use it often anyhow. This way, you can save up and get a decent car instead of getting a shitty car you'll have to do a million repairs on or it will be ****** in a couple of years.
Lol, my sister did the same thing to me on my 17th birthday. (although it was one of those collectable nascar things i think) Honestly, I don't see how this is FML worthy though. Lighten up, get a sense of humor. When my kids turn 16, I'm not going to bother with helping them get a car until they're 18. A lot of accidents are caused by teenagers anyway. It's just a car.
people like this make me glad I actually worked for and bought my car.
Dude don't complain, for my sixteenth birthday I got to go to the hospital for being suicidal. Not getting a car when you're promised one isn't that bad, in fact this was not bad at all, I don't see the fml in it. if you want one get a job.

quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.
Hey! You got your car, quit whining!
