Today, my parents said that they bought me a car. I had been begging for one for a year and they always said that I would have to pay for it myself. I got really excited and went to the garage to see my new ride. It was a Hot Wheels car with a note saying, "Save your money". FML

quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.

my dad bought me a very nice car for my 16th... loved it! and people she didn't say brand new... you ******* need to quit taking your bad feelings about your ****** up lives out on people who are obviously blessed with better parents. why don't you people go to therapy and stop ******* with everyone else.

You know, maybe you should earn the car. Maybe not buy it yourself but get your license first. Thats how I did it, and how I will do it for my kids. So what you have lived 16 years. But if you can pass your drivers test, you have earned it.

seriously this is not a fml situation i rode the bus until i graduated highschool and i hated all the little kids luaghin because i didnt have my own car but trust me it feels so much better when you earn it no big deal cheer up

Little kids laugh because you don't have a car? What kind of crazy place do you live in? I'm 21 and I never bothered getting a license. I take public transit everywhere. It's way cheaper and better for the environment.
