OP, I'm sorry that some of the ppl on here (including your b/f, hopefully now ex b/f) are complete dicks. I lost my father 8 years ago, and the anniversary of his death is the only day of the year I ever cry. Yea of course it gets easier as time goes by, but it never completely heals. There's no such thing as "getting over it" and anyone who claims that you should needs to shove it, big time. You just need to stay strong and surround yourself by people who truly support you :-)
