I lost my father in a car accident just over 2 years ago. And to the people saying 'get over it' obviously don't know what it's like to lose a parent. It is awful & there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about my father. To grieve on the anniversary date is perfectly reasonable. Your boyfriend is a douchebag. You deserve someone who takes that seriously and is more sensitive to it.
