Today, it was my wedding day. Everything went great, except that no one showed up. Apparently, the address of the invitation was typed wrong. FML

you should have proofread, ydi

Surely you could have phoned someone, postpone it until everyone got there.. and then do the service? How bad of a typo could it have been? And how did you not discuss your venue with your friends and family? It would have come up in conversation if you were talking about your venue and they thought it was somewhere else. I find it hard to believe that no-one noticed.

fml is no fun if you care about the authenticity of its entries

Hmm. Seems like something you would, you know *check before mailing*.

absolutely fake. what about the rehearsal? im SURE at least bridesmaids and groomsmen would show up. and i highly doubt any bride would not be extra careful about invitations. come on. how did this even get past filters.

YDI. This is why you proofread important things.

If the wedding address was correct on the proof invitation (you may have received), or on the form you filled out, then you have a good legal case against the printer for the cost of services, etc.

If you're gonna make up a story, put some thought into it..

It's possible that she DID check/double check the address, and the place that printed them screwed the address up. FYL

but you're missing the point that nobody called or cared to see where it was haha its fake.

Doesn't make it right. The only reason people say that is because the contractions such as "would've" and "could've" SOUND like "would of" and "could of." People clearly don't read enough.

"Apparently" you, the OP, don't believe in checking your invitations before they go out. I'm sorry, but it's totally your fault, even if the typo were the printer's fault. Didn't you *look* at the invitations when you were putting them into the envelopes??? I did when I mailed out my wedding invitations. And if it were the printer's fault, they would have given you replacement invitations at no charge.

You arrived at the wedding alone? don't people usually drive there with at least the bridal party. The address couldn't have been that far away
