People are so ridiculous! No wonder our kids are growing up so fast! This stuff is totally normal for kids and acting like it isn't will mess them up! My son got suspended from kindergarten when he was 5 and was forbidden to attend field day because he pulled his pants down at school. I asked him why he did it and he said he couldn't get his wedgie out through his pants. He had no idea why he was in trouble.
damn, lets just hope that he doesnt become gay/bisexual. that would really suck. i know id be pissed. Good luck with that OP
It's better to hope OP's kid won't end up like you.
Holy homophobe much?
He's 4, daycare people do suck
That's adorable!
Teach him to high five people as soon as possible--it's fun and more sanitary!
I feel like they are overreacting. your 4 year old has no idea that kissing girls can lead to sex or inappropriate behavior. and that kissing boys can mean you are gay. he has probably realized that kissing is fun and feels weird/good and is copying what he has seen adults do. he doesn't know what it means so the fact that they can't handle the situation themselves is ridiculous. adults at a children's daycare should know how to address these problems.
Your kid is a savage and your just gonna have to deal with it
Talk about an overreaction. A few years ago in Colorado Springs, a 6 year old boy was suspended and accused of sexual harassment after he kissed a 6 year old girls hand in class
What the hell is wrong with those people? That 6 year old sounds like a really sweet little gentleman. Seriously, her hand? This "sexual harassment" thing has gone way too far.
I remember that case. He had actually been following that girl around, rough housing with her, and repeatedly kissing her over the course of a month or so (you can google the full details). The girl had asked him repeatedly to stop; she had even reported it to her teacher and parents. The teacher (and administration) talked to the boy's parents, who insisted he was just being friendly. The girl began to hate going to school and her parents were furious the school was doing nothing to stop it. The hand kissing was the last straw and the girl's parents threatened to sue. I believe they dropped the sexual harassment charges, but the boy was definitely in the wrong. For a month, this boy essentially stalked and forced unwanted attention on the girl, who asked him repeatedly to stop. She told her parents. She told her teachers. His parents blew it off as "boys will be boys", however that kind of behavior in a six year old is disturbing-- he learned that aggressive behavior somewhere. Hopefully the boy gets help, because predatory behavior that young is not right. I remember thinking at the time that it really says something about our society when people feel bad for the boy, but not the girl, who said no and did everything she was supposed to do, but was still violated by the boy.
#90, I didn't hear that update. The school should have made sure neither of them had contact with each other after the first time it happened. The parents of the boy should have nipped it in the bud too since it sounds like they didn't do anything to stop it. It happened around 2 years ago and I hope both of them got past it. Hopefully the boy got counseling, and the girl was able to get away from him
#90- Wow. That escalated quickly.
