Today, my 4-year-old son's daycare called because he kissed a few girls. They explained he can't walk up and kiss little girls. I thought the situation was under control, until I was called an hour later to remove him from the premises for kissing little boys. FML

I realize kids are innocent, but it's really not appropriate for him to be randomly kissing the other kids. Were the other kids okay with him kissing them? I can remember being small and not liking to be touched by anyone I didn't know, including other kids. I would've cried to my mom if a random kid tried to kiss me when I was in preschool.

I agree, though he also doesn't know any better and just needs to be taught. It's not something people should ignore, but he shouldn't be punished for it either. Just a simple explanation that kissing anyone other than family isn't acceptable behavior probably would work. It seems the first time the specified girls, and instead of fixing the misunderstanding when he started kissing boys they decided to send him home to his mother. It really doesn't seem like he was disobeying or anything so I do agree their actions were kinda stupid..

Well they didn't say anything about him not being allowed to kiss the boys lol

Hahaha Sorry this is too funny and adorable! However, OP, sounds like it's time to give him the boundaries/consent talk. Tell him it's never ok to touch anyone without her OR his consent.

He's probably just imitating people around him.

I went through a brief butt smacking faze in kindergarten so I can imagine what would happen to me if i was a 5 year old today. I'd be on the sex offender list.
