tell him there goes the start his college fund
I wouldve shredded the kids hand off...
Oh my god, I am so sick of every kid related FML people screaming 'omg u should have watched ur kid, YDI for leaving [object in question] in his/her reach' God, you can't watch a kid 24/7, people do have to take care of the house and go to the bathroom once in a while. And she may not have left the money in easy reach, toddlers are always rummaging through everything, he could have looked through her purse. As far as the shredder, that could have been out of reach too, every heard of chairs? Toddlers are brats, whether anyone wants to believe theyre innocent little angels sent from heaven or not.
No, sprinter, you cant watch a child literally all of the time. But intelligent people generally dont think to themselves "ok, gotta put stuff out of my toddlers reach. Gun - check. Drain cleaner - check. All of the money from my bank account - naaah that'll be alright. "
You can take the pieces to the bank, if you have 3/4ths of a bill the bank will give you a new bill (free). You should be able to get some of your money left. On another note, there are banks, store your money there, not in your child's reach!
Take it to the bank. If you can prove that you have 51% of each bill you can get it exchanged for new bills.

Why did you have 500 dollars easily accessible to a child?
Why was a shredder accessible to your four-year-old, for that matter!
