Today, my 5 year old fish died. As I was flushing him, he started swimming again. FML

Maybe he'll escape like nemo...

It's his plan! He wants to go back to the ocean! Evil genius he is ;)

could've been the toilet water movement making him look like he was still kicking.

or the fish was still alive

"Just keep swimming.. Just keep swimming... Yah pretty sure this isn't going to the ocean!"

That happened to me when I had to get rid of my sister's fish! He was floating at the top and everything, and was definitely dead (he was going white and smelled nasty), but every time I took him out of the water he flipped around as if he were alive. I put him in and took him out for about half an hour, trying to see if he was actually dead or not, but it turned out that it was his nerves reacting to the air. That's what my dad told me, anyway.

Yes, because you can check a pulse on a fish. FAIL.

Never heard of it, that fish's nerves still move even when the fish is dead? You can chop of it's head and the fish might swim a couple of rounds - same with hens by the way! Please don't try that at home! I am sure there are plenty of videos online!

technically that's an escape. Your fish is a genius.
