Today, my 6-year-old nephew opened his Christmas gift. The first words out of his mouth were, "This is cheap." FML

You know what else is cheaper? No gift at all. See how much he likes that.

I'd take it back and say " ok nothing for you then"

We bought my 3 year old nephew a NinoTab and he threw it in the trash 'cause "He want iPad" and his parents just brushed it off -.-

Ungrateful little brat. I would have taken the gift back and made sure it went to a more deserving child or someone who would be grateful for any gift at all. Loserman67 has the right idea, giving it to the son of a neighbor who was laid off.

Santa went cheap on him again

I would've taken it back from him telling him that I'd given the wrong present. Then I'd replace it with a pair of socks :)

I hope his parents corrected him and fast!!!

Children these days, always expecting something expensive like a PS3 or Xbox 360 and IPods and all that shit, Christmas gifts aren't mandatory next time the little brat can buy his own gift. :|

Maybe your nephew was an ungrateful brat, or maybe you could have given a better gift than one block of Lego that your dog chewed up. We don't know.

We don't even know what the present was

It doesn't matter what the present was! A 6-year-old kid should know enough to say "Thank you" even if he doesn't like the gift. Clearly the kid's parents neglected to teach him some very basic etiquette.

^they shouldn't have brushed it off, but those knockoff tablets are definitely NOT iPads.

Moments like this is where I'd go "I got another 1 for you. Close your eyes" take back the present and when he opens I'd flick him on the nose and say "merry Christmas". When i was a kid in our house. You'd be lucky to even get clothes! Hell. You'd have 1 tv in the entire house, and watch what your parents or elders put on. You'd get the paddle if you lipped off. Or no supper. And there was no ordering out, or credit cards that we could use. We went without. Kids these days got it so easy...

Maybe this is the time that his parents should tell him that there are starving children in Africa that don't even have food let alone a gift on Xmas morning. Greedy little jerk

There are children starving everywhere. Why do people always use Africa as an example for poor children?

77 - It's just a saying. Although I agree with you, we need to help our own before other countries.
