Today, my 6-year-old son was so angry at me for not buying him overpriced candy at the airport that he told a security guard I had a machine gun in my suitcase. The interrogation was not pleasant. FML

That beyond blows. Airport security isn't fun when you're NOT being accused of smuggling firearms

when he goes into the next grade, tell the teacher he lies about everything he says and to never ever trust him, *wink*

How does he like doing pushups as fast as that machine gun?

I support the use of corporal punishment, and for something like this, corporal punishment just isn't enough. If he were my child, I would first spank him, then I would make it my mission to make sure he never gets candy ever again, even from relatives. And he would also lose all TV, computer and video game privileges for about 6 months-2 years. I mean, he pulled off something that's taken very seriously because he didn't get candy? Most kids I know would be disappointed if their parents told them no when they asked for something like candy, but they would never even think about pulling off something as serious as lying to an authority figure like that, especially in a place where they take stuff like that very seriously.
