Today, my 7 year-old looked at me and stated, "When I grow up Mommy I want to be fat just like you." FML

Your kid is setting attainable, realistic goals. Very good for a 7-year-old!

So. Your kid likes your hugs. And sees you as a rolemodel. That is not an FML, unless you never before realized you're fat, in wich case you're probably not too smart.

If you're fat & have no reason other then poor self control, unhealthy lifestyle, & your "genes" (as in something that's not a medical anomaly), then sorry but YDI.

Well your kid might have just said you were fat cause he/she is a little 7 year old, but like, if you are actually fat, there's no way you could not know that you're fat. So, unless you have a medical condition (i.e. diabetes) or are taking medications that cause weight gain, it's probably time to lose weight if a comment from your kid saying that you're fat bothers you so much. People who are overweight due to their own eating habits and/or lack of exercise have no room (lol no pun intended) to complain and not do something about their weight. That is, ASSUMING that the OP is overweight and that it's actually her fault if she is overweight. Anyways, yeah I'm done. Teehee :b

Being 'fat' isn't the end of the world. Plus, at least your child wasn't making fun of you!

What kid doesn't want diabetes and heart disease?

There seems to be an obvious solution to this problem if you are indeed an unhealthy weight.

the OP might not have been fat, to a little kid, alotta people are fat, btw, little kids are so cute :D
