Today, I caught my mother telling my 11-year-old daughter that if she wants to be happy in life, she needs to start exercising now, because fat can creep up on you, and rich guys never marry fat girls with nice personalities. I was fuming. FML

Today, I was watching my 7 year old daughter and her friend jump on our trampoline. I was really impressed by all the flips they were doing, and I told her "Hey! I can't even do that." To that her friend replied " Of course you can't. You're fat!" FML

So. Your kid likes your hugs. And sees you as a rolemodel. That is not an FML, unless you never before realized you're fat, in wich case you're probably not too smart.

Oh my gosh. NO joke, my sister said this exact same thing to my mom when she was about that age. My mom replied "don't worry, you'll get there soon enough." My sister started crying and screamed "No! I want it now!" [For the record: my mom isn't actually fat. She's 56, 5'7", 120lbs]

Your child loves you just the way that you are. Maybe your child was telling you this, and saying that he/she doesn't care what you look like. He/she obviousely thinks that you are beautiful, and you should too.
